Ancestralism is a spiritual and cultural system that focuses on the practice of Afrikan people venerating their ancestors.

It is a system that provides a unifying method for Afrikan people around the world under cultural virtues and values.Throughout the Afrikan continent, one of the common historical and current practices among various spiritual systems is the practice of ancestor veneration. Ancestor veneration starts with nature and the beginnings of creation all the way down to our most recent ancestors.  Afrikan people knew and understood that there is no us without those who came before us.

Our Virtues

  • We must value all forms of life and nature.
  • We must speak and act truthfully
  • We must not practice, accept, or comply with any form of corruption, exploitation, or theft.
  • We must restore and maintain order, balance, and harmony.
  • We must maintain our health and take care of our bodies.
  • We must honor and respect our parents, grandparents, and elders.
  • We must venerate our ancestors and continue their work.
  • We must rebuild our families. Afrikan males and Afrikan females who are reproducing children must be oriented towards building families and maintaining strong hereditary Afrikan bloodlines.
  • We must not practice, accept, or comply with any form of sexual abuse of children. We must protect our children from physical, sexual, mental, psychological, chemical, and biological abuse or danger.
  • We must think and act as a community and not as an individual.
  • We must seek and obtain knowledge, be skillful, be critical thinkers, and be balanced emotionally.
  • We must practice reciprocity.
  • We must never accept or promote the disrespect or denigration of the Afrikan image.
  • We must be prepared to protect our families, our communities, and our land and resources from all adversaries both foreign and domestic.
  • We must preserve our culture and work for the liberation, empowerment, and self-reliance of Afrikan people.
